GlideTV What's On Updates for Nov. 10 2010

GlideTV released a major feature update to our What’s On visual guide to online entertainment yesterday that we think will really get you excited about discovering internet video content. What’s On now has more content, better rankings, more filtering options, better search results, faster speed and better organization.

Below is a list of the latest new features:

Search

The first thing you will notice is that if you do a search from the What’s On home page, we now return not only results for the most popular movies and TV shows but also any web video clips that match your query and present it nicely in a divided wall. This way you are guaranteed to find something you like!

We’ve also tuned our search algorithms too, so now if you search from within our movie or tv categories, the specific result you are looking for is most likely one of the first thumbnail in the video wall.

Filtering by Source

Also, check out the new filtering options button on our menu bar. We’ve split up the content sources, so you can explicitly control where you want to see content from. Free sources like ABC, CBS, TNT and the subscription or pay sources Netflix streaming, iTunes and Amazon VOD can be individually selected ot de-selected.

For example if you wanted to just see all the Movies that are Free and available on Netflix streaming you can do that by removing the sources for Amazon and iTunes.

Updated TV Seasons and Episodes Wall

Finally, take a look out our new way for presenting seasons and episodes of a TV show you want to watch. We’ve organized the video wall of episodes by season, with the most recent first, so you can quickly find the exact episode you wanted to catch up on
